PM ensures the right and security for the people with disabilities: Palak
Apart from ensuring the right of people with disabilities, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made a law for the security of them. That is why, the people with disabilities will no mora face adversities in their life, said the State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
He expressed this opinion while speaking as the chief guest at the exchange meeting with the beneficiaries on Saturday (October 21) in the morning at Singra Court ground.
State Minister Palak said that when a disabled child was born in the family, the mother was blamed. When relatives came home, they were hidden in another room. He was ashamed to deal with disabled children. But Honorable Prime Minister has increased the respect of disabled people due to ensuring their rights and respect. Made Defense Protection Act for them. Now the disabled are not a burden to the society. People's leader Sheikh Hasina has arranged reserve seats for disabled people in buses. Arranged their monthly allowance. Arranged special education scholarships for disabled students. Today, they do not have to suffer with his disabled children.
Palak said that Saima Wazed, the daughter of the honorable Prime Minister, is working as an advisor to the World Health Organization for disabled people. She is serving as the United Nations Autism. She has dedicated herself to serve Autistic people all over Bangladesh. Today people with disabilities in every area of the country are privileged. They are getting allowance every month.
Palak also said that the Prime Minister has worked to fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu. Ensured food, shelter, education, medical care. After the assassination of Bangabandhu, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to stay abroad. Ziaur Rahman did not allow her to come to the country. The Prime Minister visited different parts of the country from 1981-96. She witnessed what is there and what more is needed. She identified the problems of people. Checked where roads and bridges are needed. Today we are getting that advantage.
